Let me tell you what Ive been up to first. Its exciting –Very exciting for me and hopefully we can help you experience  that feeling too by getting you on the road of internet marketing.

I’ve been away from my blog for a while. Not because I don’t enjoy it but I’ve been busy Internet Marketing.

I finally convinced Dad to help me launch a product. First thing in the new year I’m going to tell you just how I did it.

It seems all my time over the last couple of months has been spent on getting the product launched and on the web.  Ok, I admit I don’t really work very fast, however I am getting the hang of it now hopefully I will be able to tell you how I did it. So watch this space!…. If I get stuck I’ll call on more help from Dad.

It’s the proverbial hard work but hey, you don’t get much without effort. Internet Marketing is not as easy as some might have you believe.

Christmas is upon us – again. It seems the older I get the quicker the year goes by.

I’d like to wish you all the very best for now at this special time of year and for all your endeavors in the future and thank you for taking the time to read my blog.

Taking a break from all the effort to get a product up and running I found this  ‘little’ diamond called The Flinch. Please take the time to read it. Its the missing link/chapter/book that you’ve been waiting for.  I found inspiration in the first few pages.

This is one of the most inspiring reads I have had for a long time. Probably in my entire lifetime, and if you are aspiring to become an Internet Marketer you had better read it.  “The Flinch”  will really open up your mind and not only to Internet Marketing.

THE BIG THING IS IT’S FREE from Amazon. There’s not much in  Internet Marketing for free that will have as much impact on how you think and feel as this will.

The next stage in the one month mentor course is the creation of the blog post or more exact writing a blog post.I am not much of a writer, or should I say I have never had to do any sort of writing.English was not a major subject of mine at school and thank god for the modern spell check.I haven’t yet brushed up on the proper do’s and don’ts, the only instruction has been to make it original content and long enough not to be considered just a comment.

 So it has been a bit of a challenge just to get used to the way word press operates and how to create the links. But there is nothing like practice.

 Writing a blog post apparently gives the search engines something to sort through. So I guess the more original the article the more it attracts these search engines as opposed to copied information.

At this stage it feels much more of a chore but one that I feel would become acceptable as I become more knowledgeable of the actual concept and information that I will no doubt choose to impart.

Besides, you have to expect for that to succeed it sometimes takes just plain hard work and patience. And I look forward to improving my writing skills

 The next stage of this course is to get these Google search engines to find me and then it is on to doing the graphics for the blog which will be most enjoyable.

How do you make money online?

 What a good Question! One day I hope to be able to tell you with plenty of conviction that it is possible that you can make money online. This is just the start the 2nd day

On the second day of the One Month Mentor course John shows you how to make money online right now(maybe not right at this minute but putting into place the the things that can make you money). You are shown a web site called Clickbank where you can go along and sign up for free. Clickbank has a huge amount of money making reports and programs based on a wide and varied amount of topics any of wich you can put on your blog so you can earn a commission.

If you have created a program,or report (which I am quite sure John will show us how to do at a later stage)you can place your own work on your site for sale but that does take a bit of work and know how.But when you do get to that stage it gives you the opportunity to get other people to advertise and market it on their sites.

 So here I am starting out .Looked around at a few different avenues and then got recommended   John Thornhills One Month Mentor Course.

 As I read John is going to coach and mentor me over 31 days with full support access from start to finish. A step by step approach which sounds just fine to me I am a bit analytical I like to know how everything works I don’t like to rush ahead and miss anything.

So away I go First thing is get out there with your name on your website.

 A suitable domain name brettreid.com that sounds good to me. Set up the web host and then the blog page which seems it will be a work in progress. This is all too easy until I have to connect a new email from the website to windows live mail. All fairly simple till you put the wrong password in the wrong spot. But that’s the great thing about having a mentor, just keep going over what they tell you till it sinks in, all the while with you hovering over the support line not wanting to make contact and show how new you really are.

 5 hours later justify not contacting John because he is on the other side of the world, not that an email is going to wake him up. Then all of a sudden I see my way forward and fix the problem.
